640 Terrorists Start Evacuation of Qodsiyeh, Al-Hamah in Damascus

Militants began to withdraw from the small town of Qodsiyeh in Western Ghouta on Thursday after an agreement with the Syrian government and without a UN escort.

The Militants and their families started evacuating Qodsiyeh in the Northwestern parts of Damascus, according to an agreement with the Syrian army.

More than 17 buses were prepared to take out more than 100 gunmen from Qodsiyeh in addition to members of their families towards the city of Idlib.

Other reports suggested that the militants from al-Hamah are also evacuating the town which brings the number of evacuees to 640 gunmen in the two suburbs.

Thousands of civilians in Qodsiyeh had taken to the streets for several days in the past two weeks to urge militants to leave the town.

“Several thousands of civilians continued to rally against the deployment of anti-government fighters in Qodsiyeh,” sources said.

Sources in the peace committees in Qodsiyeh said last week that based on the agreement, “the terrorists who don’t intend to surrender their weapons would leave the town, while others who are willing to remain in the city and would lay down their arms would be pardoned”.

On Tuesday, over 200 militants in Qodsiyeh’s neighboring town of Elhameh ended fight against the Syrian army and the legal government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and tuned themselves in to the government authorities.

Reports said on Saturday that the Syrian army and its allies regained control of the strategic town of Elhameh in Western Ghouta of Damascus after several days of fierce clashes with the terrorist groups.

The government troops entered Elhameh town, accompanied by the local tribal leaders, and seized back control of the entire town.

The people of Elhameh had been staging protest rallies against the terrorist groups in the past few days, calling on them to lay down weapons or leave the town.

Meantime, the Russian defense ministry announced that the number of the towns and regions joining the national reconciliation plan in Syria has reached 739.

Double Life of White Helmets: Volunteers by Day, Terrorists by Night

Volunteers of the White Helmets civil defense organization have a double life: they are ‘volunteers’ by day and terrorists by night.

Photos, published online, reveal ‘the second life’ of volunteers of the White Helmets civil defense organization that operates throughout the Syrian territory, controlled by the ‘moderate’ opposition.

According to the photos, the volunteers spend one part of their lives, providing assistance to civilian population, and then transform into members of terrorist groups and shoot at the same civilians.

The White Helmets, also known as the Syrian Civil Defense (SCD), was founded in early 2013 by British security consultant James Le Mesurier. The organization is supported by Mayday Rescue, a foundation, registered in the Netherlands. The SCD was created as “a response to indiscriminate bombardment of civilian communities in rebel-held areas by the Syrian Arab Air Force.” However, according to an official statement, the mission of the White Helmets is “to save the greatest number of lives in the shortest possible time and to minimize further injury to people and damage to property.”

Now volunteers of the White Helmets operate in 114 local civil defense centers across 8 Syrian provinces with high presence of various militant groups: Aleppo, Homs, Idlib, Damascus Countryside, Hama, Latakia, and Daraa.

Syria: Coordinated Terror Attacks

By on the ground journalist Afraa Dagher

On Monday 5 September, in the morning, six takfiri bombings murdered 40 Syrians and wounded dozens more.

Twin bombings struck Tartous countryside, which suffered the largest casualties. A car was remotely detonated on Arazona bridge and was followed by a double tap suicide bomber to kill those who rushed to help the wounded.

In al Hasaka, a motorcycle was remotely detonated on the roundabout, killing 5 and injuring 2. Another car bomb exploded at the entrance of Bab Tadmur neighborhood in Homs, martyring 4 and wounding 10.

The West does not ask the “moderate” terrorists to stop bombing Syria.

The double suicide bombers in al Sabbounoura (Damascus) only killed one, and injured 3.

These six bombings come one day after Israel launched three missiles against Syrian Arab Army military sites. Israeli media reported the breach of Syrian sovereignty as “retaliation” for a mortar landing in the Israel occupied Syrian Golan, from the non-occupied Golan. Though Israel is not specifically a member of the fascist coalition bombing the SAR on a regular basis, Israel has independently bombed the SAR on more than one dozen occasions since the crisis was launched in 2011. It is no secret that Israel has frequently come to the rescue of the terrorist al Qaeda factions against Syria.

In her report from Syria, Afraa Dagher notes that the new spike in terror is related to recent and significant gains made by the Syrian Arab Army (committed to liberating all of Syria from the terrorists).

Damascus: Eva Bartlett reporting on latest terrorist attacks

Syrian Voices
By Eva Bartlett
Yesterday, I visited the Qamar al-Sham restaurant which on July 24 was hit by terrorist shelling, killing and injuring many of the civilians inside, including at least 2 children, one of whom was an infant.

Story

Terrorist Attack in Damascus

When I visited the restaurant yesterday, it had been mostly cleaned up of debris, but still stank of blood. While the media reports I’ve seen have varied (some saying 5 have been murdered and others saying 8 victims) the employees said 11 were killed, including the 7 year old son of one of the restaurant managers, and an infant and his mother. They said the infant’s body was found an hour after the attack, inside a small room off the main room.

At a nearby hospital, I met three young women (a 23 year old and two teens) who were being treated for shrapnel injuries, including to the stomach, chest, shoulder, face, arms, and in one case (Hiya, 17) shrapnel into the bone of the teen’s shin, splitting the bone. The mother is hopeful that her daughter will be able to walk again. The mother is the head of a secondary school, and said she had gone to the restaurant with her daughter and husband. “We’d only just received our meals and the shelling occurred.”

The 23 year old, Nancy, was there with friends she hadn’t seen for a while, drinking coffee and smoking argila. Her mother explained that normally at that time of day the young woman would have been working in a shop in that district, but because of meeting with her friends, she was in the restaurant.

The 16 year old, Mary, was likewise with friends. Her 15 year old sister (with her at the restaurant) seems to have been more severely injured as she is being treated at a different hospital.

There are many more wounded being treated in other hospitals, including severely-injured. Based on visiting the University Hospital last year and seeing numerous critically-injured victims of terrorist mortars and rockets, I can imagine that those injured in the attack on the restaurant will have such severe injuries as amputations and more. (University Hospital, Feb 2015:Photos of victims )

Also in Old Damascus, not far from the Qamar al-Sham restaurant, yesterday around 1 pm, according to residents, homes were hit by further terrorist shelling. Thankfully, according to those I spoke with at the site of the attacks, no one was killed this time, but many were injured, including children.

In the hospital, parents of the injured teens implored me to tell the truth. Syrians know that the corporate media is lying about terrorist attacks on civilians, and on the situation in Syria in general. Imploring passionately that their truths be told, one mother lambasted the terrorists–“They are monsters, they have no humanity and no respect for children.” She reiterated calls I’ve heard in Damascus, Aleppo, and re Foua/Kafraya under terrorists’ siege and bombardment, among elsewhere, to “eliminate the terrorists.” This can’t come soon enough.

Syrians are a peaceful people, and have been subjected to terrorism since the war on Syria began in early 2011. These tragic deaths are utterly preventable, if the west and NATO-GCC-Turkish-Zionist alliance stopped funding/arming/supporting terrorists and terrorism in Syria, if the world complied to UN Resolutions against this arming of terrorists, if Turkey sealed its border instead of flooding Syria with more terrorists whenever mercenaries inside of Syria re losing, and if the world listened to Syrian voices and their calls for an end of this bloody war on Syria and for Syria to return to how it was prior to 2011.

Sincere condolences to the families of martyrs and injured.

Twin bombings in al-Sayyida Zainab, at least 12 killed

SANA
Damascus countryside – The death toll from al-Sayyida Zainab town twin terrorist bombings on Saturday has risen to 12, a source at Damascus countryside Police Command said.

One of the two terrorist blasts which hit the town, located to the south of Damascus, was carried out by a suicide bomber with an explosive belt who blew himself up at the entrance of the suburb in the direction of al-Ziabiyeh town, while the other one was with a car bomb that exploded in al-Tin Street on the suburb’s outskirts.

At least 55 people were injured in the attacks, some of whom are in a critical situation, according to the police source, who noted that a number of women and children were among the victims.

SANA reporter said massive damage was caused to a number of houses and several shops went up in flames due to the attacks.

Damascus Countryside Governor Hussein Makhlouf visited the site of the bombings and instructed services and utilities establishments to clear rubble and debris, assess damage, and repair services networks and roads within 48 hours.

Makhlouf noted that despite the terrorist attacks, shops are still open and working in the area normally a few meters away from the bombings site, which shows the Syrians’ determination to challenge terrorism.

In April, 5 people were killed and 20 injured when terrorists detonated a car at the entrance of al-Ziabiyeh town in Damascus countryside.

The cabinet condemns the terrorist bombings

The cabinet condemned the terrorist bombings and the shells that continue to be launched on a number safe areas, leaving a number of civilians killed or wounded.

Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi said such coward terrorist acts, which destabilize these areas in a bid to boost the morale of the armed terrorist organizations due to the accelerated victories of the Syrian army on all fronts in parallel with the misleading and flagrant media war, are trying to undermine the Syrian state.

Al-Halqi held the terrorism sponsors, particularly Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, responsible for such brutal massacres, demanding the international community to shoulder the humanitarian, moral and legal responsibility towards these inhuman perpetrations and put an end to the states which back and finance terrorism.

The Syrian people will not be frightened and such terrorist acts will increase their steadfastness and determination to achieve victory and defeat terrorism, he said.

The Premier extended condolences to the martyrs’ families and wished speedy recovery to the injured.
